AKHILA MALANKARA ORHTODOX SUSHRUSHAKA SANGAM (AMOSS)
By the Grace of God Almighty, I hereby present the annual report of Akhila Malankara BOrthodox Sushrushaka Sangam (AMOSS) in the Bangalore Region for the year 2016-17.
AMOSS aims to create awareness in the faith, tradition and practices in our Holy Qurbana, other
sacraments and important days of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church amongst our Acolytes.
In this regard, AMOSS Bangalore Region conducted a regional level One-Day Conference at St.
th Mary’s Orthodox Valiyapalli, Jalahalli on 26 November 2016. The Session was chaired by His
Grace Dr. Abraham Mar Seraphim and the session was led by His Grace Dr. Yakoob Mar Irenaios
(Metropolitan, Kochi Diocese). His Grace Dr. Yakoob Mar Irenaios gave a brief description about
the role of Acolytes and its biblical references. Acolytes from 10 churches participated in this
conference. The basic details of the attended Acolytes have been taken and stored as a database for
future purposes. AMOSS sincerely expresses its gratitude to the Rev. Fr. James Eapen (Vicar, St.
Mary’s Orthodox Valiyapalli, Jalahalli), Rev Fr. Bino Samuel (Assistant Vicar, St. Mary’s
Orthodox Valiyapalli, Jalahalli) and the Managaing Committee members of St. Mary’s Orthodox
Valiyapalli, Jalahali for the support extended.
I express my deepest gratitude to His Grace Dr. Abraham Mar Seraphim for his blessed presence,
prayers, guidance and advice provided. I also express my deepest gratitude to Rev. Fr. James
Eapen, Vice- President for his support and guidance. I convey my sincere thanks to respected
Vicars, other Rev. Priests, Sushrushaka Sangam Secretaries and AMOSS members of all parishes
for their support.
